By Mamudu Dako | Project Leader
The last three months have been very interesting in the history of our project as there has been increased pressure on this facility!
While the index population served by this project is increasing, some private and government water holes in some of the neighboring communities are no longer functioning due to poor maintenance.
Erratic public power supply is also having it’s toll on our facility as average daily power supply to the community is about six hours. This limits pumping water for distribution to average of six hours daily.
Consequently, large crowds gather regularly and sometimes quarrel and fight around the available supply taps daily to fetch water once power supply comes.
There is therefore urgent need for funds for alternate power source such as solar power and extension of our supply to additional points to decongest the already existing supply points.
Looking forward to having access to funds to solve the above two challenges.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Dako Mamudu.
Chief Executive Officer.
