When I was in Uganda last December I wittnesed an improvment in the crops because of more consistent rains. The crops were not 100% but much better than the past two years. Since then they have had more rain and were able to get more crops planted. The rains are very unpredictable in Karamoja. Sometimes they are steady, some not at all and at other times torencial and wipe the crops out. The current reports from our team on the ground in Uganda is that things are looking better. We are hopeful that they will have crops sufficiant to carry them through. I will be back in Ugtanda in November.
