Help us to enlighten the learning of our children with visual impairment and other associated disabilities through education. A proper education can change their lives, empowering their abilities beyond their disability.
Visual impairment requires its own methodologies and conditions for the student to learn to read and write, most regular schools are not prepared to receive a student with visual impairment. From unsuitable spaces for their displacement to their own learning methodologies. The limited access to education, the lack of knowledge of parents on how to accompany their children with visual impairment and the economic lack of families, creates a very difficult environment for their development
Therefore, Helen Keller School opens its doors to be an ally of the families of Jalisco, accompany the process of acceptance of parents when they have a child with visual impairment at home, encourage each of the students to maximize their abilities over their disability and create new development opportunities for society. We adapt the country's educational system to make it accessible to the children's learning pace, and complement with special workshops fully adapted for children.
We believe that the Helen Keller School has a multiple impact, directly to the students through the acquisition of knowledge, opening many possibilities for development. With the accompaniment of parents, we are promoting an acceptance of disability and improving the conditions of children in their homes, and with people sensitized to the cause, we are generating a more inclusive society.
