AMA has been working with 15 women who are in charge of the production and marketing of native trees in San Juan Ostuncalco, Quetzaltenango. With your support, we have been able to assist AMA and these women in their mission.
From June to September, the communities of Olintepeque, La Esperanza, Bella Vista, Quetzaltenango, Chuicutama, Sololá, and Tejutla San Marcos were reforested. This allowed us to replant over 1,330 cypress, alder, and pine trees.
The seeds donated earlier this year are finally in their germination stage. There has also been significant growth of native trees with 2,000 pines, 2,000 alders, and 2,000 cypress trees ready to be taken to the local market for sale and reforestation in different communities.
Thanks to your help, we can continue to provide these native trees and offer resources for AMA’s team!
