Dear Donors,
We have raised about $8,000 of the $35,000 needed for a full-service mission to the Philippines, so we are optimistic we will reach our goal.
Yolanda Ortega Stern, President of One World Institute, just returned from a site visit in Davao City, Mindanao, which will be our headquarters for the project. You may know of the football star named Tim Tebow. Because his parents were missionaries in Davao when he was a child, Mr. Tebow built a small but excellent hospital in Davao City that we will use for some cases; and others will be at a nearby very large government hospital.
As always, we will have outreach to remote areas. This will included books for children, health clinics, and bringing needy patients to our headquarters if they need surgery. .
We are finalizing the dates, which will probably be in mid-January, 2018. The weather is normally excellent then.
Gratefully yours,
Tom Stern,MD
Chairman, One World Institute
