Tewa since its establishment has been organizing different fundraising events each year for the purpose of fund raising. The funds raised are sent to women’s organizations as grants all over Nepal.
Tewa believes in strengthening women's organizations at the grass root level, and aims to strengthen and move forward the women's movement. Tewa mainly provides grants to the women's groups/organizations by raising the funds locally. Tewa supports women who are marginalized and vulnerable, women with disability as well the LGBTIQ community.
Tewa has different annual campaigns and events to help in raise funds. Moreover, Tewa's internal team has been contributing through the 'Payroll' campaign since 2001, which is a valued contribution from within our staff. In simple terms, payroll can be defined as the process of paying a organization's employees.
We donate certain amount from our salary every month and this has encouraged a philanthropic environment within the Tewa team as we all play a vital role as donors through this campaign. The contribution is flexible and as per each team member's wish to donate. Every year we are able to raise (Nrs.50, 000.00) five hundred dollars in total from the payroll.
It is through such campaigns' examples that Tewa requests diverse organizations to help rasie funds through each of their team's minimum contribution. Tewa accepts cash and in kind, from different individuals and institutional well wishers.
