GARAGE SALE
Garage sale normally refers to the occasional sale of second-hand household goods or clothing belonging to an individual.
A garage sale is one of the best ways to turn your clutter into cash for a cause. You don’t just get the benefits of being green and cleaning out your house or wardrobe, you also get to help others find useful items at an affordable price.
As they say, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure rings true for Tewa's Local Fundraising event – Garage Sale.
The collection of things around the house that you no longer want-old clothes, outdated household items, toys that the kids have outgrown, tools and exercise equipment that you no longer use, etc are used for the garage sale.
Tewa initiated the Garage sale as a part of its local fundraising event in 2001. Collecting the things from its staff, board members, and volunteers, Tewa hosts garage sales in an effective way to turn rarely used itemsinto extra cash for a big splurge, local fundraising, or donating to a good cause. To date, Tewa has been able to collect USD 8054.50 from the garage sale. The proceeds from the Garage Sale will go to support the most vulnerable and marginalized women's groups in Nepal.
