Perfect Crossing - A look at holistic care

Bola Pra Frente Institute serves, through the Perfect Crossing Program, children and adolescents between 06 and 17 years old, public school students and residents of the eight communities that make up the Complexo do Muquiço. Students are divided into age groups, with the aim of facilitating learning and providing opportunities to review the topics studied at different levels of depth.

To serve these students, we work on two projects: ARTilheiro and Bola Pra Frente em Ação.

The ARTilheiro project served 166 students and their families in 2022. The Bola Pra Frente em Ação project served 154 students and their families.

As a result, we present the following:

  • More than 90% of students between 6 and 11 years old achieved self-development;
  • More than 95% of students between 6 and 11 years old recognize the importance of practicing sports for health, well-being and quality of life;
  • 90% of students are engaged in sports activities;
  • More than 80% of students aged between 12 and 17 consciously use technology;
  • 95% of students aged 12 to 17 are emotionally literate.

 

ARTilheiro Project

The ARTilheiro project is an initiative of the Bola Pra Frente Institute, linked to the Perfect Crossing Program, which uses educational sports as a tool for the integral education of children and adolescents living in Complexo do Muquiço. In this project, we used a multidisciplinary approach, using sport, culture and education as learning tools. From this perspective, we believe that educational sport is a tool for building values and promoting health, seeking to go beyond performance and sporting results. For this, the sport applied in the project relates the practices of sporting fundamentals with the principles of educational sport that include the values of participation, cooperation, education, responsibility and inclusion, as well as citizenship, among other forms of contribution to the development of skills and behaviors that are considered necessary for the student's life. Therefore, soccer, yoga, capoeira and dance are the physical modalities used to collaborate in the self-development of our beneficiaries. In order to unite the activities of different axes, we used a pedagogical process based on the Pedagogy of Projects, which allowed a connection between the activities, a stimulus to the right of speech and reflection on the meaning of rights and duties, providing a space for interaction and rescuing affectivity, respect for differences in their different dimensions and awareness of the importance of practicing sports for socialization, fun, leisure and learning values, in addition to the important aspect of maintaining and promoting health.

 

Bola Pra Frente em Ação Project

The Bola Pra Frente em Ação project is another initiative of the Bola Pra Frente Institute, linked to the Perfect Crossing Program, which uses educational sports as a tool for integral training. However, its focus is on teenagers living in Complexo do Muquiço. In this project, we used a practical multidisciplinary approach, using sport, technology and education as learning tools. From this perspective, educational sport, together with education, is a tool for building values and promoting citizenship. The objective is to promote integral development in its five dimensions: intellectual, physical, emotional, social and cultural. The expected result is to have an impact on the students' lives, enabling the public's physical, social and emotional well-being. For this, the project uses three axes that intertwine in a harmonious move: educational sports, digital literacy (technology) and emotional intelligence. In this sense, the professionals involved in the project are trained to apply sports, technology and emotional activities content, since the staff involved in the project includes professionals with different technical backgrounds. Thus, the project is divided into three stages: Realidade em Campo (Sport); Reality do VAR (Technology); and Realidade do Campo Emocional (Emotional Intelligence). In order to unite the activities of these axes, we used a pedagogical process based on the Practical Approach, which allowed a connection between theory and practice of the contents covered in the classroom, with a stimulus to the right to speak and reflection on emotions and mental health.
