Hello Donors,
We hope that you have been well during these challenging times. As noted in the previous project report we have not asked for donations for Pedal Power for Kenyan Education so that your charitable giving might go to local COVID-19 programs.
The “stay-at-home” order in Kenya has helped to slow the spread of the virus, but has also negatively impacted families who are living on less than $1 a day. To address food insecurity in Nambale, Grow Against Poverty donated $3,000 to fund a program in which 103 families (over 700 people) received maize flour, rice, mung beans, soap, facemasks, and jembes (hoes). A public hand washing station was also donated.
The next donation will go towards agricultural supplies such as seeds, fertilizers, and grain storage bags for families with home gardens and small farms, and more maize, rice, and beans. Naturally, donations would be greatly appreciated towards this and could be made through the Pedal Power program site.
The families appreciate all your help.
Sincerely,
John and Jean Roccanova
