Tabletochki provided financial assistance to our families under care for $2985. Administrative expenses made $2497 and other - $508.
In March 2019 we had a lot of events in our palliative program.
On March 23, 2019, we gathered parents who lost their children from oncology. At the meeting, parents expressed the opinion that they would like to have more opportunities to participate in such groups, as well as asked about the possible consultation for the siblings.
They raised questions on problems of communication between the doctor and the patient, shared the experience of their stay and treatment abroad. Many parents noted that only in this group they can communicate about their loss, since in the group they are better understood.
While parents were busy working in the group, children went on a tour to the museum of jellyfish and had a great time. In the second half of the day parents, children, psychologists participated in the decoration workshop and planted rocket salad in the pots.
On March 25 and 26, 2019, children from our palliative program participated in the "Together" project on the implementation of architectural elements created by children in urban spaces (parks, streets, recreation areas). Together with the architect children were able to learn the basics of design and in just two days to create architectural elements that will be implemented and placed in the park. Three families from Chernihiv region were involved in the project.
While the children were busy, parents had consultation with two psychologists of the palliative program.
For families, this visit to Kiev was an event and an opportunity to relax and switch.
Also in March we made a dream come true for one of our children under care. Together with his younger brother he visited the office of his favorite cyber sport team. The team members had a Skype session with our boy. And the cyber sport world champion was online too. Children were presented baseball caps and a photo autographed by the champion, and also conducted a tour in the office. We also organized for this family a visit the National Aviation University, where they tried to control the aircraft on the flight simulator. Children were so happy!
