June 2021 Update
By Ric Poolman | Director, digiServe
Good News: Testing of our multi-tenant platform that will allow 100 Children homes or more access to our Child at Risk system is progressing well. After over a year of development and the last few months of testing, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Bad News: Covid came back to Thailand in a major third wave that undermined our rollout to the two test homes we were hoping for.
This project has been huge and more complicated than we thought but we are enjoying good feedback from the few homes under our Family Connection Foundation that are using the stand-alone version. We have also updated features of it based on their feedback. When the multi-tenant platform is ready, the application will be improved for all the new homes that enroll.
We would still like to pursue a couple of homes to test the app more widely and have several that are definitely interested.
I sincerely expect that by the next report, we will have realized our dream of onboarding the first few homes on the platform. We are grateful for several new donors and are closer to our goal. The money is still there to be used to onboard as many homes as possible. I hope you are still looking forward with us to the accomplishment of helping children's homes provide improved support.
Thank you for your patience and your generosity.

February 2021 Update
By Ric Poolman | Director, digiServe
Dear Generous Friends,
This is the 2nd update for Thai Children's Homes software project.
The good news: We will start onboarding 2 Children's homes in March. These will be the first two outside of our own Foundation and the first two to take advantage of your generous gifts. We will just use a small portion for now in order to help these children's homes to focus on learning the product and seeing what adjustments need to be made to accommodate any differences they have with our own Foundation. These first few test cases will help us learn more about how to help new homes get up and running and prepare for a larger number in the future.
The bad news: Development of the full online service is still progressing but it still has a few functions left to be done. However, we are now expecting to do the first round of testing on the brand new platform in March. This new platform is what will eventually allow us to host hundreds of children's homes.
The word is already getting out that we have an exciting new tool that can make a difference for both small and large children's homes. Your investment in this project will reduce the friction to get new homes online which will enable them to improve the quality of their service in order to give more children a better chance for success in life.
Thank you for being partners with us.

Dear Generous Friends,
This is the 1st quarterly update for Thai Children's Homes software project.
This project has 3 parts:
1. Develop the single-user version of Child at Risk System (CARS) to become a multiple-user system.
- Status: Some progress made
- Note: this has been slightly delayed but we still intend to have a version ready for testing by end of the year.
2. Develop training materials and get them translated
3. Onboard 100 Thai children's homes.
- Status: not yet started
- Note: obviously, we cannot do part 3 without at least finishing part 1
To date, we have received enough money to onboard 25 homes out of our desired 100. We will seek funding for development and training from other sources and save the funds in this project to directly help children’s homes to get going when the multi-user service is available. Here are some photos of the actual application user interface.
