Progress with the on-line training

By Steven Carr | CEO

We are excited to share the significant progress we've made in developing our innovative online entrepreneurship training course, tailored specifically for the agri-food sector in Africa. This comprehensive course is structured around 12 carefully designed modules, guiding participants step-by-step through the development of their business ideas—whether starting fresh or expanding an existing venture. Beginning with the Sustainable Business Model Canvas, participants are guided through a dynamic process of ideation, market analysis, identification of key resources and partnerships, creation of clear operational and financial plans, and finally, mastering how to effectively pitch their businesses to clients, customers, and investors. By the end of the program, participants will have completed a high-quality, actionable business plan ready to launch or scale their agri-food enterprise in Africa.

Each module will feature engaging video lectures designed to clearly and interactively present essential business concepts. Participants will also have access to a comprehensive downloadable course handbook, meticulously detailing every aspect covered throughout the course, alongside a practical workbook that provides entrepreneurs with essential tools to effectively develop their business plans. Key tools such as the Sustainable Business Canvas Model, Unique Value Proposition & Strapline Tool, and the essential Financial Projection tool support participants in critically analyzing their businesses and crafting compelling, actionable plans. Additionally, concise and visually appealing presentation decks highlight key insights, enabling easy review and reinforcement of critical concepts.

To further enrich this learning experience, supplementary modules covering specialized topics, including Black Soldier Fly farming, Cassava processing, and Regenerative Aquaculture, are being developed to inspire and inform entrepreneurs. These modules ensure participants have comprehensive support at every step of their entrepreneurial journey.

This ambitious initiative is proudly developed by an international team of passionate experts, colleagues, and volunteers from Europe and Africa, representing Ireland, the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, Uganda, and South Africa. Our diverse team combines deep expertise from experienced entrepreneurs, dedicated academics, and industry specialists, all united by a shared commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth across Africa.

In line with our mission, this online course will be freely and easily accessible to organizations, universities, and individual entrepreneurs eager to elevate their business ideas to new heights. Together, we are empowering entrepreneurs and positively shaping the future of agri-business innovation throughout Africa.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to giving you more insights on the Entrepreneurship in African Agribusiness course soon.
