Offer Hope for 300 Youth in the Dominican Republic

The Bienvenido Project FUNFONAVI is pleased to share the activities carried out during the months of March and April of the year 2023, where two great events were successfully carried out of which we were part.

CREATE AND DEVELOP SKILLS

Teachers Bernarda and Yumerly taught and helped the children of the Initial Level, to create drawings and crafts in order to develop their skills in the Artistic Exhibition. It was a wonderful day in which the parents of the little ones attended the school to know the creativity that their children have.

The FUNFONAVI family continues to work so that the emerging generation develops in an integral way and has a culture of peace.

HOLIDAY CELEBRATION OF HOLY WEEK

In the month of April, many countries of the world celebrate The Holy Week, a commemorative feast related to the death on the cross and resurrection of a man named Jesus. Some call it THE SEMANA MAYOR, LA SEMANA SANTA, etc. 

Families prepare different sweets and meals for the celebration of them. In the Dominican Republic, you can eat fried fish, vegetables, peas, rice and a special dessert called Habichuelas con Dulce! So, The Bienvenido Project FUNFONAVI prepared a delicious lunch and for dessert some delicious beans with sweets, which each child enjoyed to the fullest!

IN THE FEEDING PROGRAM WERE SERVED 

March and april: 1,270 breakfast and 8,107 lunches.

For a total of 9,377 servings of meals distributed during the months of March and April of the year 2023.

The Bievenido Project FUNFONAVI, is pleased to share the activities completed during the first months of 2023, of which you are part.

At the beginning of January, the children awarded scholarships in the Education Program, resumed the continuity of the 2022-2023 school year, with the satisfaction of seeing their academic evolution.

To celebrate this day, a celebration was held where there was a fun afternoon with various activities and hot dog, ice cream, games, among others.

On January 16, we received the visit of sponsors from The Bievenido Project, from the city of Michigan, who brought many gifts for the children such as flip-flops, clothes, personal hygiene products and sweets.

On February 24, the scholarship students of the initial level, had a recreational activity on the occasion of the Independence Month of the Dominican Republic, with painted faces, drawings of the National flag, where they were also given a nutritious snack.
