Support to the people who were affected by Covid

Introduction:

DURING covid-19,from the year 2020 to 2022, the James Were Foundation played a critical role in supporting families in the Nyalenda Slums of Kisumu county. The Foundation's effort s were aimed at mitigating the impact of the pandemic on vulnerable communities.

Covid-19 Relief Efforts

Throughout the pandemic,The James Were Foundation provided essential supplies to help the families protect themselves and manage the crisis. These efforts included:-

1.masks

2.ssnittizers and handfasting gears to promote hygiene and reduce the spread of the virus

3.Food distribution. Recognising that economic hardships caused by the pandemic, the Foundation provided food supplies to the families struggling to make ends meet

Although the pandemics intensity has decreased,it's effects continue to be felt. The James Were Foundation remains committed to supporting those who lost family members and jobs due Covid-19. Current initiatives includes:-

1. Food relief: JWF continues to provide food to families still facing economic challenges

2.Ciunsellinc services: this is fine to help individuals cope with the grief of losing loved ones and the stress of job loss, the foundation offers counselling services. These efforts aim to support mental health and well being within the community

Conclusion

The James Were Foundation's ongoing commitment to aiding slum families during and after the Covid-19 pandemic highlights its vital role in the community by addressing both immediate and long term needs.,the foundation is helping families navigate the challenges brought by the pandemic and work towards recovery. We thank all friends who have supported us.
