The Nutrition Support Project is happening at full throttle. There are 380 students currently participating in the activities of the Bola Pra Frente Institute aged between 06 and 17 years old, living in the Muquiço Complex (located in the Northern Zone of Rio de Janeiro).
The project has offered a daily average of 128 snacks for the participants, with a varied and reinforced menu, such as sandwich, juice, milk chocolate drinks, biscuit and seasonal fruits.
In addition, in April, the students participated in the Health Week, a complementary activity, which is part of the pedagogical curriculum of the Institute's social programs and has as main objective to create an interest in the insertion of healthy eating habits.
Corroborating with the theme of the project, the participants conduct sports oriented activities, with specialized professionals, with the purpose of making them physically active and practicing a healthy lifestyle. Families are also involved in the process of changing eating habits and behaviors of our students through orientation meetings, assistance with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to specialized public bodies.
Students and their families are encouraged to participate in the process of food reeducation through play activities, lectures, debates, among others.
