The education program provides supplies to vulnerable children under broken families in rural Uganda so they can attend formal education in Uganda.

For purposes of facilitating descent work for ‘out of school youths’, Cosma facilitates vocational training to support such youths. It also provides training and supplies so that youths and women can make crafts which are sold to increase their income and descent employment.

This year the project embarked on training 12 school dropouts to make note books, these included seven girls and three boys and two single mothers. The products are meant to help school children improve academic performance through keeping safe their written notes for revision during exams.

The project has facilitated production of 381 books which have been sold in the last two months

Every sell of a book amounts to one dollar which facilitates descent income for every youths out of school while improving supply of scholastic materials in the rural areas of Uganda.

On the side note, Mary(in picture) is among the trainees of using sewing machine to make and mend dresses for school children. She was trained and graduated in tailoring and Cosma has been able to facilitate her buy a brand new sewing machine which has enabled her set up her own fashion workshop next to one of the schools. She serves both the community and school children

In future we intend to set up such tailoring workshops to also aid making reusable pads to aid reproductive health for school girls.

We look forward to expand such workshop in rural Uganda as mini factories to improve descent employment and health living for the youths and women while we improve education service in Uganda.
