Dearest Donors,
Thank you so much for your ongoing commitment to this project. Unfortunately, we have only met 50% of our fundraising goal, so we have made the following adjustments to our programming over the six month intervention period, which lasts until the local government takes over.
Economic productivity within the affected families is low because parents are confined to their homes, closely looking after the children; many children with Nodding Syndrome have been known to wonder away due to hunger and, at times, get seizures and end up drowning in streams. The need fo constant monitoring of the sick kids leaves family members with no time to work, thus, living at high poverty levels.
Hope Center will provide chickens, shelters, vaccines, initial feeding costs, as well as training and monitoring evaluation for this program.
Thank you for your ongoing dedication to our mission and understanding of the adjustments we have had to make. We look forward to building a brighter future together!
