The time has come for us to upgrade our cook stoves so we can accomodate the growing population. The cook stoves will help us generate enough food for the many kids who come through the centre. Recently the heavy rains have done more harm than good in the typically dry land surrounding Makindu. This has resulted in more mouths to feed. We are happy to do so, but we are struggling because the stoves we currently have are ready to breakdown. They are using too many resources to burn, but it’s all we can do for now. With new cook stoves, we will be able to cook more food in a shorter amount of time and not use as many pellets to fire them up. As the population grows, we must grow with it. Please help us keep our kids healthy and activate the lives of the many kids who are struggling to attend school because of a lack of nutrition. Asante.
