The final touches for the nutrition block of the Reproductive Health Center are complete and we are preparing materials for our newest GlobalGiving project - the stand-alone Laboratory Facility. Our Project and Site Manager, Lawrence Kamba, is currently procuring the materials for this project and anticipates that the construction of the building will begin in April. The cement blocks for the walls of the building are being made on the hospital site (see attached photos) by local craftspersons. In our next report, we will show pictures of the building's progress as construction proceeds.
We want to thank our donors as we begin this new and very important project for the Mwandi hospital. It is a critical addition for this newly designated Level 2 hospital as it expands to the meet the needs of its growing patient population.
