Here in Uruguay, we have a saying that the year doesn't truly begin until the Cycling Tour ends, which happened last Sunday, so we can now officially say that 2023 has started.
The truth is that since February, ANIMA has been busy with students participating in several workshops and lectures in preparation for the academic year, which began in early March.
We received a new generation of students who have been impacted the most by the pandemic. They were in their first year of secondary school in 2020 and still face challenges related to their learning process and financial situations at home.
Despite these challenges, our students have the ability to bounce back and turn their hardships into skills to use in their classroom work and apprenticeships in companies.
They understand that every piece of ANIMA functions thanks to donors like you who believe in them and provide opportunities to develop their skills for their future.
However, true inclusion takes more than just providing opportunities. It also requires a set of soft skills and self-knowledge that we work on daily with our students and the teams that work with them, whether in the classroom or workplace.
To provide the best possible support, we continuously work to improve our team's skills and listen closely to our students' voices.
We encourage you to follow us on social media to keep up with all the information we share. We understand that it's in Spanish, but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to reply.
Thank you for your ongoing support and belief in our students.
We wish you a wonderful 2023 so far!
