Dear Friends,
We count on your faithful support that enables moments like these, below.
Thank you for being a crucial part of creating a world for children with intellectual disabilities!
Adaptive equipment allows children with disabilities to learn proper sitting and standing techniques. Without supportive chairs, some children may struggle to eat safely.
The photo above shows Kenneth Habaalu, who designs and develops adaptive equipment, personally making adjustments for our students.
Kenneth has a physical disability, himself.
Your generosity creates a context for beautiful moments of connection like this to happen at our Community Care Centers.
The photo below is of Joshua and his mother at our Kaunda Square CCC. Joshua is working on standing independently in the motor room.
His mom encouraged him to stand by talking with him, playing with toys, and making silly noises. Joshua smiled the whole time, even though standing is hard work.
What a great team Joshua and his mom make as they work towards his developmental goals together!
Thank you for your support as we care for children with intellectual disabilities and their families!
