We are thrilled to announce the initiation of the "Discovery Phase" with both of the potential Community Groups we aim to collaborate with in the near future.
This phase is crafted to assess how these groups are presently serving Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in their community. It involves gauging the current level of resources they are utilizing, understanding their project funding mechanisms, determining the number of children they are assisting, and delving into their aspirations for expanding their efforts in the future.
As an illustration, the Lur Community Group sustains their endeavors with the OVC in their community, by having each member contribute a personal donation every month to support OVC. This signifies a strong belief in their mission, demonstrated by their willingness to contribute from their own limited funds. Additionally, we discovered that the Madungu Community Group engages in 10 different income-generating activities to contribute to the support of OVC within their group.
The "Discovery Phase" has proven to be successful, and we are currently in the process of compiling all the collected data to gain a comprehensive understanding of their baseline. This preparation is essential as we gear up for the final phase of ushering these groups into NR's program.
