Rural women in Nepal have limited access to education or training. Groups of women will organize through this program with guidance for self-sustaining income-generating activities.
With local donations, Tewa has successfully trained hundreds of women's groups to improve their economic status by developing animal husbandry, sewing, and other small-scale local initiatives. Current funds have been allocated toward the construction of office space to house these training initiatives. During this time of expansion, support is needed to continue the training program by covering their administrative costs, and purchasing equipment, such as computers, printers, and scanners.
Women will receive hands-on training in animal husbandry, and vocational skills, and receive follow-up guidance to enhance their services and increase profits, to then become donors themselves.
Donations will fund a 3 year small business training program, including: product development workshops, business administration classes, the organization of new women's groups, and networking events.
