Mahila Saahaara Samajik Sanstha was established in 2016/06/29 by Jhal Kumari Dulal who previously had 18 years of experience of leading Rural Women Development Multipurpose Cooperative. Jhal Kumari Dulal engaged herself in relief and support packages during mega earthquake by aligning herself in “Tewa’s Hamro Gau Ghar Campaign”. She after that campaign, registered her own organization called “Mahila Sahara Samajik Sanstha”. Her 18 years of experience in the field of “Women, Child and Senior Citizen” has provided a tremendous impact in organization. Organization has been providing various advocacy, awareness programs and skill based trainings to women in that locality.
Mentorship program has helped women to step out of their regular daily chores and mobilize themselves in individual and societal well-being as well. Through mentorship program, mentee organization has operated systematically. They have prepared strategic planning for 5 years with the help of resource person. Women members have enhanced their strengths and capacitiesin carrying operational activities smoothly. They plan their daily and monthly activities, summarize activities conducted so far, collect feedbacks and take actions accordingly on how and why activities were not accomplished. Mentee organization has been actively working for the well-being of the community. They conducted various awareness program and relief support packages to the needy ones. They also conducted socio-psycho counselling program to those who were suffering from depression and other mental health related illness due to COVID. Though, mentee organization is located in geographically less privileged area, it has tried to include members from various wards. This has helped organization to develop positive and healthy relation with local authorities. This has helped organization in creating sustainable and healthy atmosphere for operation.
Mentorship program thus has helped mentee organization to enhance their skills and capacities in carrying out operational and professional aspects in more systematic and sustainable manner. Organization is also inclined towards creating a HR pipeline for secondline leadership, so that organization can function smoothly in future and every members get equal chance of demonstrating and exploring their leadership abilities.
