On August 2020, a landslide struck Golche Lidi village in Jugal Rural Municipality-2, Sindhupalchok. A total of 210 households were dislocated from Lidi Village last year due to a massive landslide. 30 houses were completely damaged and the remaining houses were partially affected. The flood resulted in the displacement of large household. Approximate 1300 people have now been living in Banskhara in a temporary shelter from last year with minimal supports.
Global Inclusive Adventure Organization with support of Tewa provided 760 people which include a total of 383 men and 377 women. There were almost 100 children up to the age of 5 years. The relief support also catered to 15 people living disability, 13 pregnant women, and 4 lactating women. As part of relief support, 500 pieces of corrugate sheets were distributed to the displaced households. Lactating and pregnant women were provided with warm clothes while new born babies were provided with warm clothes. Additionally, sarbottam pitho (super flour) was provided to mothers with weaning children.
The intermediary relief support provided by the Global Inclusive Adventure Organization has really helped the displaced community to built back better.
