Our second term passed quickly at Ncinci Ones Montessori, as we increased to 29 young children. We enjoyed good weather this term, so attendance at school was very high. The children all had their ears tested by the audiologist from Zithulelel Hospital and 3-day de-worming took place for all.
The Ncinci Ones are interacting very well with their environment, each one choosing activities that they need for their development and joy. It really is a happy space for the children.
Our two teachers have re-started their Montessori training course and they are feeling very motivated and happy. Luyolokazi, our one teacher, hosted a Parent Workshop this term with the theme of "Why it is so important to read to your babies and young children" - the attendance was super and the mamas enjoyed the workshop.
We completed a good amount of maintenance this term and the school is looking fresh and bright again.
Sadly, we have had to temporarily close the Siyafunda Afterschool program, due to lack of funds. We are working hard on gettting this program up and running again.
We thank you kindly for your interest and support.
Take care and stay safe
Dawn
