Young Imaginations continues to provide multicultural music and dance instruction to underserved students throughout Bay Area and Northern California elementary schools.
We’re especially pleased with two recent Teaching Artist additions to our program: Ian Dogle and Cynthia Pepper.
When teaching elementary school youth, Ian demonstrates his vast array of indigenous percussion instruments from Africa, South America, the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia and China. In the classroom, Ian invites students to try out and play instruments so they can have a more tactile musical experience from hearing the sounds and feeling the vibrations they’ve created.
Cynthia has served as The Schools and Community Supervisor for the San Francisco Ballet (2014-2015) and continues on currently as a dance Teaching Artist. Cynthia has taught multicultural dance instruction to thirty-nine Bay Area elementary schools, providing dance education to over 3,000 public school students.
Young Imaginations is very pleased to have such talented Teaching Artists join our team; knowing the highly experienced music and dance instruction skills they bring to students participating in our multicultural arts classes.
As always, Young Imaginations appreciates your ongoing support for the arts as a key component of a well-rounded education, especially in schools where music and dance instruction would not exist without non-profit organizations like Young Imaginations.
Thank you.
