Spin the Wheels of Change for 2020, August update

Dear friend,

Thank you for your donation to the Wheels of Change 2020 project in Romania! Our fundraising campaign continues so that Motivation Romania is able to give appropriate wheelchairs in 2020 to people with disabilities. In the meanwhile, I am pleased to bring you updates on the impact of donations to our 2019 Wheelchair Fund campaign on GlobalGiving.

I am hopeful that news of our achievements will strengthen your dedication to Motivation Romania, and will motivate you to bring your friends along so that we make the 2020 challenge a success!

So far this year, Motivation donated 377 wheelchairs through the Wheelchair Fund, including 33 funded from GlobalGiving gifts to the 2019 campaign. This summer, we organized a great camp for 10 children who use wheelchairs and their carers. They participated in a training session for a healthy and active life as wheelchair users, at Motivation`s camp in Varatec, Neamt county. Manu was the youngest one at the camp. She joined the group in a positioning system which looks much like a stroller. This could not be handled independently and her mother used to help her move from one place to another. Read here how donations to the Wheelchair Fund helped Manu make new friends and do things on her own, without needing to ask someone else for help.

I hope these success stories are a fun way of staying close to our common cause.
