Hello Friends,
Since we began our first campaign on GlobalGiving in early March FSEA has been extremely busy working for our members and for the business climate in Moldova.
In this time a lot has happened with FSEA. Internally we have been been conducting surveys and working with members to identify their key advocacy needs and areas where we can help make their voices hear to the relevant authorities. Through this process we realized we needed to focus and improve our access in the area of Customs regulation so we applied and became members of the Committee of the Customs Service in order to speak on necessary reforms there. In this and other areas we have been speaking for our members directly to the relevant authorities in order to have a frank and open conversation about changes that need to be made in the area of the business climate which they oversee. Much corruption in Moldova comes from poor regulation. By helping our member companies spot areas for improvement and by working with the responsible authorities we can make slow but stead progress in creating a transparent environment for all.
In addition to this advocacy work we have been very focused on community building. We have had networking events and trainings focused on developing business to business connections in order that our members become better able to support themselves through supporting one another. Externally we have been working on partnerships with other associations and organizations who can help us provide value and voice to our members. Our key partnerships have been the European Business Association, Utah-Moldova Business Partnership and the American Chamber of Commerce.
Through this activity and many internal capacity building steps FSEA is growing along with our vision of a strong voice for Small Business in Moldova.
By the Numbers:
We had 7 events: 4 FSEA lunch and 3 Business over Beers
In response to our member survey we worked with affected members to craft 4 Position Letters to Government Authorities and have 2 returned with early positive results.
We have added 8 new Business Members to the FSEA Community
We attended with our members 5 Externally hosted events
We participated in 7 B2G (Business 2 Government) meetings to represent and advocate for our members:

Thank You,
Seriously. All of this is only possible with your support. As a growing organization our member fees do not cover our costs and we rely on donors and volunteer hours. Each little bit helps - if you could consider donating $5 a / mo it would go a long way to help our financial planning and stability.
Thank you again for your support and time,
