GLOBAL GIVING REPORT

SAVE MORE THAN 80 KIDS FROM ANEMIA IN RURAL PERU

(Third Trimester of 2021)

Dear donor, we would like to express our most profound and sincere gratitude for all your contributions. Due to the help awarded by each and every one of you, the nutritional project continues to thrive, even throughout the difficulties originated by the global pandemic. These are trying times, but with unity and commitment we are confident we will overcome the current situation.

Nutrition program progress report upto September, 2021

We have increased our target audience from 130 to 335 children. We have maintained the anemia prevalence at 19% and keep reducing it even more

In June 2021: The towns that have the highest prevalence of anemia are Pisca with 20.9% and Pariaqaqa with 34% of the prevalence. Intervention strategies are being coordinated with the health posts of Pariaqaqa and Pisca to reduce the prevalence of anemia in children.

Nutrition improvements

Follow up on organic gardens with carrots, beets, spinach, chard, and radish for 240 families, monitored by our nutritionists
Personal Grooming and Hand Washing Workshop including Hand washing practice and talk about the importance of personal hygiene and hygiene implements
Second distribution of Milk, cereal, canned turkey and chicken thanks to The food bank Peru and Gloria
3^rd distribution of 2 kgs of fish to 1,000 families
2 balanced diet sessions for Guiding mothers
Bakery renovations in progress to be completed in October 2021. Bakery equipment and furniture delivered to bakery premises
Nutrition Work plan for expectant mothers and children from 0 to 36 months of age is being developed to be delivered on November 2021
Support to Health Posts in deworming campaigns by providing treatment for parasites and dose monitoring for anemia.
