Assessment of livelihoods

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your donation to our project promoting sanitation and food security. This reporting period we are focusing our work on the food security aspect of this project as this is most needed especially in remote areas where food is becoming scarce. Agriculture production is not doing well and there is a need to find alternative means of securing food. Vegetable gardening remains the choice of farmers but we are exploring other sources like raising of fish in small fishpond, providing value added to forest products such as rattan and bamboo, handicrafts, among others. This reporting period we are doing assessment and listing of what more could be done with the view of rallying support when local farmers have their choice already. We surmise that most of their choices will revolve around small-scale food production ventures as capital for this is low. We were able to conduct 2 assessment sessions during this period. Hoping for your continued support.

Very sincerely yours,

Cesario Sayre
