An update on your donation to the Israel-Palestine Crisis Relief Fund

Thank you for your generous donation to the Israel-Palestine Crisis Relief Fund. As the devastating crisis continues, donations to this GlobalGiving Fund are bringing relief to war-torn communities in the region.

Since we last updated you, contributions to the Israel-Palestine Crisis Relief Fund have supported eight grants to trusted nonprofit organizations that have demonstrated experience working in emergency relief in Israel, Palestine, and Egypt. As needs only grow, with entire families killed, the specter of famine threatening Gaza, and unabated displacement from homes, GlobalGiving partners are working under incredibly difficult circumstances to reach people in need.

Here is what one nonprofit leader in Palestine wanted you to know about the impact of your donation:

Here is a short description of some of the critical work you’ve supported:

Rebuilding Alliance’s kitchens in Gaza have partnered with the UN World Food Programme to deliver hundreds of bags of much-needed food supplies. This includes wheat and beans, with more shipments expected. Rebuilding Alliance is also working in the West Bank to provide psychological support and first aid training for communities under attack.

IsraAID continues to work with communities at risk in Israel. This includes providing Bedouin communities protection from attacks. IsraAID is also creating child-friendly spaces for evacuated communities in Israel, coordinating civil society initiatives, and providing mental health services.

Your support of the GlobalGiving Israel-Palestine Crisis Relief Fund powers community-led responses during a dire moment in history. The fund will continue to support partners in a flexible and responsive manner as the crisis remains fluid, new challenges arise, and opportunities for more humanitarian aid open. An update on your donation to the Israel-Palestine Crisis Relief Fund

We are immensely grateful for your donation to the GlobalGiving Israel-Palestine Crisis Relief Fund. Your support demonstrates that it’s possible to elevate our common humanity and meet humanitarian needs amid a crisis shrouded in complexity.

With your donation, GlobalGiving is making seven emergency grants to vetted, community-led nonprofit organizations whose courageous and hard-working teams are making a difference on the ground. One community leader shared that:

Below is a brief description of relief activities you’re supporting:

Egyptian Food Bank is delivering food and water to affected families in Gaza. It coordinated the largest relief caravan in its history, consisting of 120 trucks under the umbrella of the National Alliance for People's Development. This aimed to provide food and water to more than 150,000 families in Gaza. They’re also providing daily hot meals and medical kits to hospitals in the border region between Egypt and Gaza.

IsraAID is working closely with displaced communities in evacuation centers and virtually. Its trained specialists and partners manage child and parent spaces and create safe, supportive learning environments for trauma-affected children. IsraAID teams are also providing food, psychosocial support, and protective spaces for Bedouin and asylum-seeking communities.

As this crisis crosses the one-month mark this week, your generosity brings hope to communities across Israel and Palestine. A complete list of nonprofits receiving a grant from the Israel-Palestine Crisis Relief Fund can be found at the end of this report.

Here is a short description of some of the critical work you’ve supported:

Chimes Israel is delivering psychological counseling and other urgent care to survivors of violence. Its support also includes hot meals and medical supplies for displaced people in southern Israel.

UNRWA USA supports the work of UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. They provide shelter to displaced families and deliver food, hygiene supplies, and potable water as these necessities are running out in Gaza. UNRWA continues to provide medical services in eight out of 22 health centers with 52 mobile medical teams and 60 mobile medical points.
