Yelibeth is a 26-year-old student, a scholarship recipient of the Oportunidad y Futuro Foundation from November 2018 until July 2022 when she completed her classes for a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a major in Pedagogical Sciences at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello - UCAB. In March of this year was the commencement ceremony and this is her testimony.

"My name is Yelibeth, I was a scholarship recipient of the Oportunidad y Futuro Foundation and in 2022 I received a degree in Education with a major in Pedagogical Sciences at the Universidad Católica Andres Bello (UCAB). That same year the university opened its doors for me to work, practice and develop my professional career, I am currently assigned to the General Direction of Student Development where I work as a Leadership Analyst. My responsibilities are to accompany and monitor the groups that are attached to the programs promoted by the department, as well as to develop training initiatives to respond to the needs of the students' community.  I have also had the opportunity to be trained in other fields which have allowed me to get out of my comfort zone, to challenge myself and to realize that the limits are set by oneself.

In summary, my experience as a college graduate has been of gratitude to all those people and institutions that supported me along the way; of personal growth that has allowed me to have a more comprehensive vision of the human being I want to become; and of satisfaction for leaving footprints on the roads I have travelled and in the lives of others".

Carlos is a 21-year-old student, Oportunidad y Futuro Foundation scholarship holder from October 2018 to July 2022, in March 2023 he received his Telecommunications Engineering degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello - UCAB.

Carlos wrote us the following letter... "On Thursday of last week (March 2, 2023) I was in my graduation ceremony receiving my degree in Telecommunications Engineering, and among so many emotions that I had at that moment I could not forget all those people who helped me to reach this goal. I will be grateful all my life for the support that Oportunidad y Futuro Foundation gave me, without the help I started receiving in October 2018 it is very likely that I would not have been able to advance much further in my studies; you really make it possible for many people to fulfill their dreams. I also thank my mentor Juan Fariñas for being my link to the foundation, for encouraging me and for helping me to find the right place to do my internship. Now I am doing the required paperwork to legalize my diploma to be able to register in the Venezuelan College of Engineers, meanwhile I am looking for a job. Thank you very much."

Maria is a 26-year-old Oportunidad y Futuro Foundation scholarship student from April 2019 until July 2022 when she received her associate degree in Integral Education at the Instituto Universitario Jesus Obrero - IUJO.María is currently applying to continue her college studies and obtain a bachelor’s degree in education at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello - UCAB.

Yelibeth es una estudiante de 26 años, becaria de la Fundación Oportunidad y Futuro desde noviembre de 2018 hasta julio de 2022, cuando terminó sus estudios de Licenciatura en Educación con mención en Ciencias Pedagógicas en la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello - UCAB. En marzo de este año fue el acto de graduación y este es su testimonio.

"Mi nombre es Yelibeth, fui becaria de la Fundación Oportunidad y Futuro y en 2022 me gradué de Licenciada en Educación con mención en Ciencias Pedagógicas en la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB). Ese mismo año la universidad me abrió sus puertas para trabajar, ejercer y desarrollar mi carrera profesional, actualmente estoy adscrita a la Dirección General de Desarrollo Estudiantil donde me desempeño como Analista de Liderazgo. Mis responsabilidades son acompañar y dar seguimiento a los grupos adscritos a los programas que promueve el departamento, así como desarrollar iniciativas de capacitación para responder a las necesidades de la comunidad estudiantil.  También he tenido la oportunidad de formarme en otros campos que me ha permitido salir de mi zona de confort, retarme a mí misma y darme cuenta que los límites se los pone uno. En resumen, mi experiencia como estudiante universitario ha sido de agradecimiento a todas aquellas personas e instituciones que me apoyaron en el camino; de crecimiento personal que me ha permitido tener una visión más integral del ser humano que quiero llegar a ser; y de satisfacción por dejar huellas en los caminos recorridos y en la vida de los demás".

Carlos es un estudiante de 21 años, becario de la Fundación Oportunidad y Futuro desde octubre de 2018 hasta julio de 2022, en marzo de 2023 recibió su título de Ingeniero en Telecomunicaciones de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello - UCAB.

Carlos nos escribió la siguiente carta... "El jueves de la semana pasada (2 de marzo de 2023) estuve en mi ceremonia de graduación recibiendo mi título de Ingeniero en Telecomunicaciones, y entre tantas emociones que tuve en ese momento no pude olvidar a todas aquellas personas e instituciones que me ayudaron a alcanzar esta meta. Agradeceré toda mi vida el apoyo que me brindó la Fundación Oportunidad y Futuro, sin su ayuda, que comencé a recibir en octubre de 2018, es muy probable que no hubiera podido avanzar mucho más en mis estudios, ustedes realmente hacen posible que muchas personas cumplan sus sueños. También agradezco a mi tutor Juan Fariñas por ser mi enlace con la fundación, por animarme y por ayudarme a encontrar el lugar adecuado para realizar mis pasantías. En estos momentos estoy haciendo los trámites necesarios para legalizar mi título y poder inscribirme en el Colegio de Ingenieros de Venezuela, mientras tanto estoy buscando trabajo. Muchas gracias".

Maria tiene 26 años y es becaria de la Fundación Oportunidad y Futuro desde abril de 2019 hasta julio de 2022, cuando recibe su título de Técnico Superior en Educación Integral en el Instituto Universitario Jesús Obrero - IUJO. María actualmente está aplicando para continuar sus estudios universitarios y obtener el título de Licenciada en Educación en la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello - UCAB.
