Although 2019 was a very difficult year economically, politically and socially for our country, it was also a year full of successes for Fundación Oportunidad y Futuro - FOF. We started 2019 with 50 active students of which 14 graduated during the year.
Of the 14 students who completed their studies, 6 have been part of FOF since they began their college education in 2015, which means that they have been accompanied and guided by our mentors throughout their careers, a factor that definitely has contributed in a positive way in the performance and the outcome of these students throughout their time in college.
Attached is the list of students who graduated during 2019 and below is broef summary of 3 of them:
YUBETSY
Institute: Hospital Militar de Caracas
FOF scholarship holder: October 2015
Graduation date: November 2019
Career: Medicine
Her future: Yubetsy has just begun her year of "La Rural" (which consists of completing a year of medical practice in a rural environment so that the degree obtained at the university can be validated by the Ministry of Health) in an outpatient clinic in the Parroquia El Recreo, specifically in the Pinto Salinas neighborhood in Caracas, to then continue with a postgraduate degree in Pediatrics. In addition, she is about to start a Certificate in Occupational Medicine.
JESUS DAVID
Institute: Universidad Católica Andrés Bello - UCAB
FOF scholarship holder: October 2015
Graduation date: October 2019
Career: Computer Engineering
His future: Jesús David currently works in Banco Fondo Común - BFC in the Systems Development department, where he did his work internship his senior year and where he also developed and successfully completed his degree thesis.
MOISES
Institute: Instituto Venezolano de Audición y Lenguaje - IVAL
FOF scholarship holder: August 2018
Graduation date: December 2019
Career: Speech and Language Therapy
His future: Moisés currently works at the Fundación Autismo en Voz Alta, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a quality, comprehensive educational alternative for people with autism spectrum disorders. He is also about to open his own practice on Saturdays in the community where he lives.

A pesar que el 2019 fue un año muy difícil económica, política y socialmente para nuestro país, también fue un año lleno de éxitos para la Fundación Oportunidad y Futuro - FOF. Comenzamos 2019 con 50 estudiantes activos de los cuales 14 se graduaron a lo largo del año.
De los 14 estudiantes graduados, 6 forman parte de la FOF desde que comenzaron sus estudios en el año 2015, lo que significa que han estado acompañados y sido orientados por nuestros tutores a lo largo de toda su carrera, factor que contribuyó de manera efectiva en el desempeño y la culminación con éxito de sus estudios universitarios.

Carrera: Medicina
Su futuro: Yubetsy acaba de comenzar su año de “La Rural” (que consiste en el cumplimiento de un año de ejercicio de la medicina en un medio rural para que el título obtenido en la universidad pueda ser validado por el Ministerio de Sanidad) en un ambulatorio en la Parroquia El Recreo, específicamente en el barrio Pinto Salinas en Caracas, para luego continuar con un Posgrado en Pediatría. Además, está por comenzar un diplomado en Medicina Ocupacional.
JESÚS DAVID

Su futuro: Jesús David actualmente trabaja en el Banco Fondo Común - BFC en el departamento de Desarrollo de Sistemas, lugar donde realizó su pasantía laboral el último año de la carrera y donde además realizó con éxito su tesis de grado.

Universidad: Instituto Venezolano de Audición y Lenguaje - IVAL
Becario de FOF: agosto 2018
Fecha de graduación: diciembre 2019
Carrera: Terapia del Lenguaje
Su futuro: Moisés actualmente trabaja en la Fundación Autismo en Voz Alta, que es una organización sin fines de lucro dedicada a proporcionar una alternativa educativa integral de calidad para personas con trastornos del espectro autista. Además está por abrir su propio consultorio los días sábado en la comunidad donde vive.
