This project is designed for raising awareness of mental health disorders as the COVID-19 pandemic is negatively affecting the lives of citizens across the world, including Rwanda. People of all categories in Rwanda are affected and face serious socio-economic challenges related to loss of income, isolation, lack of access to basic needs, lack of food and other basic needs, lack of capacity to fully protect themselves from the virus, fear and government restrictions are triggering mental health issues for many people across the country. Young people as the future generation have many worries related to the consequences of the pandemic such as unemployment, stress, trauma, depression and stigmatization among others, and the situation is worsening for young people who lived from casual work as most of them are now unemployed and suffering from extreme poverty.
This project raised very little money so that we could not organize any event.
