Help Migrants Access Mental Health Services

In our last report, Colectivo CARE provided 500 integrative medicine treatments over 3 months.

One month later, Colectivo CARE provided 500 integrative treatments in a single day! 

We are grateful to the extraordinary dedication, amazing skill and care of our volunteers, community partners, staff, and for your support. Because of you, Colectivo CARE continues to flourish! All clinics are free of charge and farmworkers and their families are able to receive acupuncture, ear seeds, chiropractic and massage in any combination of their choosing. 

We have also had challenges. 

Due to the increased possibility of immigration sweeps, we paused clinics in February to meet with our leadership team, community partners and staff to brainstorm and educate ourselves, to find the best way to run our community clinics. Together, we persevere to provide free, high quality integrative healthcare to the farmworker community starting once again in March.

The farmworker community, besides experiencing inadequate nutrition, terrible living conditions and limited health insurance ALSO produce 1/3 of the vegetables, 2/3 of the fruits and nuts and 90% of all strawberries grown in the United States.

For all their incredible work, the very least we can do is demonstrate the commitment to them that they provide to us, enduring extreme pain and stress, so we have food on our tables!  

In short, our farmworkers and their families deserve better!
