Thank you for your continued support for an amazing group of people!
Due to the extraordinary dedication, amazing skill and care of our volunteers, community partners, staff, and your support, Colectivo CARE continues to flourish and provided over 500 integrative medicine treatments to farmworkers and their families over the last three months! All clinics are free of charge and farmworkers and their families are able to receive acupuncture, ear seeds, chiropractic and massage in any combination of their choosing.
According to the Center for Farmworker Families, the farmworker community, besides experiencing inadequate nutrition, terrible living conditions and limited health insurance ALSO produce 1/3 of the vegetables, 2/3 of the fruits and nuts and 90% of all strawberries grown in the United States.
For all their incredible work, the very least we can do is provide them with care to endure the pain and extreme stress of ensuring we have food on our tables!
In short, our farmworkers and their families deserve better!
