By Richard Cummins | Co-director, Connie's Home, an FCF project
Since our last report we've had 2 more former foster children (they are young adults now) return to Thailand to visit us at Connie's Home.
One 19 year old 'boy' visited from northern Europe and we had plenty of time to experience some of Chiang Mai's highlights. It was his first return to Thailand since adoption at an early age. While he didn't have a lot of clear memories, there were times when things seemed familiar. (see Visitor photo with director of the orphanage when he was adopted)
We also had a 19 year old 'girl' returning from the UK with her mother. They have both visited us several times since the adoption in 2010 but this time the 'girl' stayed and volunteered for 2 weeks after her mother left. She was wonderfu with the children and we hope she returns to volunteer again in the coming years. (see LM photo)
We just had an adoption to North America. It’s always a time of mixed emotions. We love seeing new families being formed and we are sad to see the children leave our home. Sorry, no photo available.
Until the children are adopted we will continue to invest in their lives and create experiences and memories at Connie's Home. It’s through your generosity that we are able to provide these opportunities and we are truly thankful for your support. We also appreciate local donations such as those provided by 9REPS gym in Chiang Mai. (see Gym donation photo)
