In the report that was distributed to our donors two weeks ago, we announced that the construction of the Medical Imaging Suite was completed. As this report is written, the finishing touches are being applied to the building, that will be called the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The hospital awaits the delivery of the building's major equipment, including a new x-ray machine and a CT scanner, in order to become fully functional. The hospital staff are excited to begin working in this new facility using its state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment for the benefit of their patients.
Included with this report is a wide-angle photograph of the Diagnostic Imaging Department showing the main hospital building with male and female wards on the left, and the current Outpatient Department building on the right. The close proximity of the Imaging Department to these two major buildings will enable easy access to the imaging technologies necessary for diagnosis and treatment of patients.
With the fund-raising goals for the Imaging Department achieved, the American Partners are deactivating this project's GlobalGiving site. The American Partners want to express our deepest gratitude to all who made donations for this project. We could not have achieved our goals for the new facility without your help. Recurring donations to this project will be redirected to the New Center for Reproductive and Child Health, which includes the Mother and Child Health (MCH) building and the future Nutrition Center. The MCH was completed a year ago and is fully operational. The ground has just been broken for the Nutrition Center's building. Pictures of the MCH and the Nutrition Center site will be included in the upcoming report for this project on GlobalGiving.
