Notes from the Field
Training and Equipping the World's Remote First Responders Volume 2021 Issue October La Frontera - Border Medical Training Medic Outpost went to the Texas/Mexico border in July to provide community-based first responder training and equipment to local villages and rural clinics. The purpose of this trip was to provide first responder training as well as neonatal resuscitation training which delivers a basic level of healthcare. Medic Outpost trained 56 community members and rural clinic staff and provided them with neonatal resuscitation and first responder medical kit. Medic Outpost will continue our work along the border in the next phase of this program as funding becomes available. Greetings Medic Outpost Family, Medic Outpost has been very busy over the summer and we are planning for a strong finish this year. I want to thank all of our supporters and patrons who have made our projects possible this year. We are continuing to increase our exposure in Texas as well as around the world. This issue of our newsletter showcases the successes we have completed this year and outlines some of the work in our on-going projects as well as note-worthy recognitions and donation opportunities. Upcoming events include presentations at some major emergency medical conferences in the next few months which will introduce more groups to the Medic Outpost’s mission. We are also planning fundraising and community awareness events in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio for the 2022. Please consider joining us by volunteering at some of these events as more details are published. I encourage each of you to share the story of our mission with your family, friends and co-workers. Increasing the awareness of the Medic Outpost organization will potentially help find new donors to keep our efforts moving forward in underserved areas worldwide. Also, if you can, please consider becoming a Medic Outpost recurring donor. Recurring donors are the foundation of a nonprofit. No donation is too small and all of your donation dollars go directly to the cause. Thank you again to all who are working and supporting Medic Outpost. You make all of this worthwhile and I hope you realize that all the good we are doing is a result of your involvement. Please keep helping us spread the word the mission and the work. Be safe and happy.
All the Best,
