Each year during the Islamic Month Ramadan, Muslims across the globe fast from sunrise to sunset for the whole month.
During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-sacrifice - Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking.
This month is supposed to a month of reflection, a time to analyze and be thankful for the bounties bestowed upon us and most importantly help those around us.
However, life goes on and there are many who are admitted at Fatima Memorial Hospital for medical treatment and many receive clinical care without any charges.
It has always been tradition at Fatima Memorial Hospital to provide meals for to all the patient families who are present at the hospital (FMH) during Ramadan. The patients admitted at the hospital and their families can’t bear the extra costs and for us they are our guests and to be cared for.
However, with each passing year the patient number grows, costs rise and it is becoming difficult to continue with our tradition.
Today, we ask for your help to continue with our traditions set 37 years ago.
