Providing Food to Families of Hospital Patients

Since 1977, Fatima Memorial Hospital is providing quality health care services to all its patients, without any discrimination. Till date, Fatima Memorial Hospital has provided treatment to more than 8.8 million satisfied patients. Also, 82% of the patients are provided healthcare either free of cost or on subsidized rates. These patients belong to the deprived communities of Pakistan who are unable to afford the basic necessities of life.

During the Holy Month of Ramadan, while everyone celebrates iftar time with their family and friends and their tables are full of a large variety of meals, there are people out there who have come all the way from remote areas to get treatment for their loved ones at Fatima Memorial Hospital and they have no arrangement for breaking their fast at the Hospital. Fatima Memorial Hospital provides Iftar meals to them to ease their suffering.

The inflow of patients as well their attendants is rising day by day. Therefore, FMH needs more and more funds to provide iftar meals for the underprivileged. In order for us to continue to provide iftar meals to the rising number of patient/attendants, we rely on your generous donations. Good deeds are multiplied in the month of Ramadan and Allah says in the Holy Quran,“Whoever provides food for breaking of the fast for a fasting person receives the reward of the fasting person, without the reward of fasting person being reduced in any way.”(Tirmidhi) Hence, proving iftar meals to the underprivileged has great rewards attached and it is one of the ways that one could develop Taqwa (closeness to Allah).
