Food delivery
As we are deep in the holiday season and looking forward to a brand new year, it is time to reflect on all that we have and how we can make a difference in this world. We are truly grateful that you are helping us make changes in the village of El Rodieto and for Hondurans in need. With the funds designated for our operating expenses, we have done so much. For example, we have:
- Delivered life-saving medication to people in need
- Begun a prenatal vitamin program to help mothers give birth to healthy children
- Provided eye glasses to help people see
- Helped people travel to hospitals for important care
- Packaged and delivered food
- Asissted a refugee resettling in New York
- Paid the cell-phone for our primary on the ground volunteer
- and so much more.
We truly appreciate your donations, and we hope you continute to support us in the New Year. Please share this with a friend, so that we can expand our reach and help even more people reach their maximum potential.
Blessings for the New Year

Update Annual Activities

Working Together to benefit El Rodieto
It has been such a busy year for us. We completed fundraising for Phase 1 of the Clean Water project and began surveying. Our surveyor came down with Covid-19, and we are anxiously awaiting his return to health. In the mean time, we have been gathering clothes locally, and sending items to kids and others affected by the dual Hurricanes.
Our board is meeting regularly, and working with the local Rotary Club to pursue more projects in the upcoming year.
We truly appreciate your generosity as we work with the villagers in El Rodieto to help them, and to provide some assistance to the people who have lost their homes.

Annual Operating Expenses Update
By Margaret Shackell | Board Member, Mayor Potencial

2,000 pounds of rice and beans
We do have regular operating expenses, like website hosting, postage and printing, but we also use the Operating Expense funds to cover other items that we haven't directly fundraised for. Sometimes opportunites that are too good to pass up are presented to us. That happened recently. We worked with CapeCares and Knights of Malta to secure a donation of food for the people of El Rodeito and the other nearby villages.
We received and delivered rice, beans, some masks, and some flip flops. The items were free, except for the cost to pick up and deliver. We needed to rent a commercial truck for $400. It was too much food for a small truck.
We picked up ten 100 lb bags of rice and ten 100 lb bags of beans. We delivered this much needed food on April 11th.
We could not have done this without you.
Thank you for your support.
