Dear Friend of Education Africa,
Hello to all of you and thank you for supporting our campaign. We are very grateful and will continue to work hard on our Education Africa Alexandra Marimba Hub with your help.
An upskilling workshop for the educators was held at the end of October and the educators were taught new material and revised old methodologies. 51 children are attending the Hub and have reported that playing the marimbas makes them feel happy. We are still trying to find long term solutions to several challenges including storage and a suitable teaching venue that has minimum distractions. With your generous donations we can conquer these challenges and get more children to join the Hub!
Marimba playing offers emotional, physical and mental satisfaction for boys and girls and allows them to see their creative potential and increase their self-esteem. By keeping them occupied after school our Education Africa Marimba Hub program keeps the children off the streets and away from negative influences such as drug abuse, underage drinking and crime. With your help our Marimba Hub can positively impact up to 200 primary and high school children in the Alexandra community.
Wishing you and all your loved ones Happy Holidays.
