The march on washington was a very busy time in Washington DC the past few days. While our mission is focused on health awareness and prevention, for health purposes -- we did not directly participate in the march, rather, gave out free PPE carekits which included kleenex, sanitizer, gloves, and face masks. We wanted the majority of people in attendance to stay safe before, during, and after the march. We ran out of carekits within the first thirty minutes of us giving them out. We will definitely prepare better for our next event!
Jacob Blake's father also personally thanked us for being so young and involved! Congratulations to our students on learning about how racism is a public health crisis.
