Since our last report there has been no let up in the growth of our teaching and the numbers of our students! Our student SmartPhone1,3 and 5 minute documentaries have been a great success - so much so that we are, with backing from Purple Field Productions, going to be producing a 15 minute documentary! This will include scripting, interviews, directing, editing and project synchronisation over the period of a few days. The topic chosen is that of the life-circumstances faced by women in Sierra Leone - chosen by the students themselves. Such an ambitious and serious subject reflects the degree of empowerment that our students feel through their learning of film-making techniques - and, also importantly, reflects their desire and willingness to learn about and participate in bringing about positive changes in their society. Our Students, Teachers, Directors and our President and Director Gloria Jones are all extremely proud of their achievements. We now have more students wishing to join our classes to learn these crucial contemporaray cultural skills. And we want to teach and empower many generations of students!
Help us progress! Help us build our beautiful designated school building with all of its brilliant technical and interactive learning facilities so that we can continue to build and play such an important part in the growth of Sierra Leone and its youth. We need $8,000 urgently for the building of our foundation and ground floor structure. Please see the beautiful design below.
