December marks the end of the calendar year but also the end of the school year for Tanzanian schools.
It is a time of celebration and of great change. The kid you see in the photo, is nearing the end of his course in kindergarten and will start elementary school in January. We can only wish him immense good luck for this important new beginning.
Meanwhile, they are returning home to the high school students who have finished the long-awaited graduation course of study that ends with "Form 4." It is a great satisfaction to see that the commitment to study is paying off, and the teens are preparing for their future, whether that involves the start of working life or, for the more ambitious, trying to tackle two more years of high school and then trying to enter university studies.
Good luck to all of them!
We thank you as a precious supporter of Malaika and wish you a Merry Christmas
