The weather forecast in Kenya has been out of control. They have had many dry days which hasn't helped the crops, but now they are experiencing intense thunderstorms and rain. Thunderstorms are beautiful from a distance but they can cause serious damage. Especially since the houses that many of our guardians own are mud huts with grass hatches as roofs. Grass Hatch is extremely flammable and since the houses are made of dried mud, they can easily be washed away by heavy amounts of rain. All of this causes extreme stress on each member of the household, especially the children because they can’t focus on their studies and exams are coming up! We would like to be prepared to help those suffering because they will need our assistance from these storms very soon here. Thank you for your ongoing support.
