Dear Donors,
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your generous contributions, which have played a pivotal role in transforming the lives of 100 children born with cleft lips and palates.
One such life you have touched is that of Sarvaka, a ten-year-old boy from a disadvantaged family residing in a village in the Kalakuruchi district of Tamil Nadu. Sarvaka is the fourth child among seven siblings and is currently studying in fourth grade. Despite facing numerous hardships, he remains courageous and dedicated to his studies. Sarvanan was born with a cleft lip, a condition that remained unattended for years due to his family's financial constraints and his father's superstitious beliefs, who considered the cleft to be a blessing.
With a meager income as a wage laborer in the fields, Sarvaka's parents could not afford the surgery to correct his condition. Adding to their challenges, Sarvaka's mother has a hearing impairment, making it difficult for her to care for the children, while his father's alcoholism has further strained their family's well-being. Despite these adversities, Sarvanan has shown remarkable resilience.
He took the initiative to enroll himself in school, determined to pursue an education despite the odds stacked against him. His story is a testament to the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
This year, amidst the challenges posed, we were able to provide over 3000 surgeries to children like Sarvaka. With your continued support, we aim to surpass this achievement and provide over 3500 surgeries this year, bringing hope and transformation to even more lives.
Once again, we thank you for your unwavering support and belief in our cause. Your contributions are making a tangible difference in the lives of children in need, giving them the opportunity for a brighter future.
With gratitude,
Priyankit
