Santa and Some students

We have continued to strive and keep educating the underprivildged and imparting skills in spite pof limited acess to funds.

We engaged in folktale telling sessions which were geared toward using stories to teach the students about life and how to navigate life issues. It also exposed the students to life skills such as how to surmount difficulties without resorting to vilence--Brainvs. Braun, the value of loving one another, shunning greed etc.

In this quarter we taught the new students liquid soap production which they were able to use washing their clothes, dishes, and cleaning surfaces. Liquid soap making is also used as a  practical and educational experience for students because it helps them understand chemical reactions, which is an excellent way to conduct chemistry practicals. Making liquid soap requires measuring and mixing chemicals, which helps develop practical life skills, such as measurement, observing chemicals while mixing, and taking safety measures. Some of the students also make rnough liquid soap for sale. It encourages students to learn about entrepreneurship by making and selling liquid soap products.

We also taught bleach making. Bleach is a strong chemical solution used for disinfecting and sanitizing surfaces, whitening and brightening clothes and surfaces, removing tough stains, and killing bacteria on a surface. Bleach-making practicals are a valuable and educational experience for students because they involve chemical reactions, helping students understand the principles of chemistry. It helps develop their practical skills, teaching them how to handle chemicals safely. It also helps them understand the uses of bleach in everyday life.

We also had a Christmass party for the students. The Christmas party and Santa activities were ways of providing a holiday season for all, the students, the parents, and the teachers, to come together. We used this season to show love to one another. In this season, students participated in fun and drama associated with the birth of Jesus and promoting social bonding among them. The presence of Santa added an element of excitement and joy to the student especially when Santa shared gifts and danced with them. The Christmas party also offered students an opportunity to express their acting skills and performances. This Christmas party served as a well-deserved break from academics, helping teachers and students recharge and feel motivated.

All in all, the season ended well. Thank you all at GlobalGiving for the support you have continued to give us.
